some excerpts from trials and experiments on techniques, color interplay, and tension in abstract art
Through layers of abstract and realistic elements or textures, I study the illusions of reality in my artistic process.
Extreme contrast in color or context evolves, creation and tension arise, yet it appears free and fluid. It comes together in a unique and interesting way;
it seems unsettling at first glance but once engaged with the piece, many subtle details emerge,
waiting to be discovered.
Expressive art with bold colors, experimenting with different techniques to create exciting color combinations and dynamic interactions.
Abstract shapes and stick figure scenes telling a story and adding a playful touch to the composition.
Collage on paper with acrylics, using various techniques to apply paint, creating interesting textures and layers filled with tension. The combination of different elements adds contrast and depth to the piece.
Using techniques to apply and extract paint from specific areas creates intense effects, allowing the portrait to subtly shimmer through. I enjoy exploring how realistic elements intertwine with rough, abstract textures, creating a contrast between harsh, brutal forms and delicate, soft details.
Other experiments and studies explore the tension between realistic and abstract elements, combining pieces from different backgrounds and placing them in a new context.
